Contrast enough?

If you’re looking for a tool to make sure your digital content has sufficient color contrast for individuals with vision differences, check out the TPGi Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA). What I like about this tool is it’s an app I can leave open on my desktop vs finding the website amongst the 45 or so tabs I typically have open in my browser. (Who can relate?) Having it right there is also a nice visual reminder to check my color combinations.
I’ve not only been using CCA when I create my own digital content, but also when browsing the internet – not as a “Gotcha! You didn’t use sufficient contrast,” but to educate myself. I’ve run across color combinations that I would have certainly thought had sufficient contrast but didn’t pass. The more you know.
The tool is free, so give it a try.
